وأوضح المدير الفني أن اللاعبين حصلوا على راحة لمدة أربعة أيام بعد ضغط مباريات متواصل، مشيرًا إلى أن الفريق دخل معسكرًا مبكرًا ببرج العرب استعدادًا للمباراة، والهدف من المعسكر ليس فقط لقاء المصري، بل تحضير الفريق للفترة المتبقية من عمر المسابقة.
وتابع بيسيرو: “أخيرًا نملك فرصة لإجراء ثلاثة أو أربعة تدريبات متتالية دون انقطاع، بعدما كنا نعاني من ضغط المشاركات، وسنستغل هذا التوقيت لتثبيت الأفكار الفنية سواء من خلال المحاضرات الجماعية أو اللقاءات الفردية مع اللاعبين”.
وحول غياب الثنائي محمود حمدي “الونش” ومحمود بنتايج للإيقاف، قال بيسيرو بثقة: “أثق في جميع اللاعبين المتاحين، وأعرف كيفية التعامل مع الغيابات بما لا يؤثر على الفريق”.
وعن تقسيم التدريبات إلى مجموعتين، أوضح: “لا يمكن العمل مع أكثر من 30 لاعبًا دفعة واحدة، أردت التعرف بشكل أدق على كل لاعب، واستعنت ببعض العناصر من المجموعة الثانية في كأس الرابطة، وقد نحتاجهم أيضًا في الدوري”.
وأضاف مدرب الزمالك: “في الودية الأخيرة استعنا بعدد من لاعبي المجموعة الثانية، ومن المهم الحفاظ على جاهزية الجميع، فالتغييرات واردة في أي لحظة، ويجب أن يكون كل لاعب محترفًا ومستعدًا للفرصة”.

Even after victory over Brentford to kick off 2025, Arsenal remain six points adrift of the Reds who would go as many as nine clear by winning their game in hand at this stage. In need of an incredible turnaround, those in North London may need to turn towards the January transfer window.
On that front, Bukayo Saka’s injury has seen the likes of Nico Williams already mentioned this month, but it’s an option closer to home that the Gunners could yet welcome.
According to Football Insider, Arsenal are now pushing to sign Matheus Cunha as early as this month instead of waiting until the summer, as earlier reports suggested would be more realistic.
In a deal that could be worth as much as £90m this month based on previous reports, Arsenal potentially look to steal the headlines and welcome a clinical goalscorer for Arteta.
Desperate to bridge the gap on Liverpool, Arteta would be getting quite the solution to his side’s attacking problems in Cunha, who has dragged Wolves out of the relegation zone in recent weeks to earn such interest this month.

Without Saka, it’s increasingly difficult to name an attacking player capable of dragging Arsenal to three points when they need it most. Martin Odegaard could contribute from midfield, but those in front of him often struggle in front of goal from open play compared to Premier League rivals. And whilst recent goals from Gabriel Jesus and Gabriel Martinelli have helped, there’s no doubt that Arsenal still need the added edge that Cunha would provide.

وقاد بيسيرو مران الزمالك بشكل طبيعي اليوم في ظل عدم حسم مصيره وإنهاء التعاقد معه.
ويدرس مجلس إدارة الزمالك في الساعات الماضية، مصير بيسيرو مع فريق الكرة، بعد تراجع أداء ونتائج الفريق الأبيض تحت قيادته.

Queensland wicketkeeper Jimmy Peirson completed an outstanding match for Australia A with an unbeaten century to lead them home in a big run chase against Sri Lanka A.The victory was made more impressive by the fact Australia A were struggling on 69 for 4 having been left a target 367. Firstly, Peirson added 151 with Henry Hunt who made a fine century of his own and then the match-clinching partnership in an unbroken stand of 150 with allrounder Aaron Hardie.Peirson’s unbeaten 128 followed his undefeated 67 in the first innings which helped keep Australia A in the game after the rest of the batting struggled. It also meant he was not dismissed in his three innings during the two-match series having been subbed into the opening match when Travis Head was called into the ODI squad.Peirson had not been an original member of the Australia A squad but was called up when Peter Handscomb left the tour for family reasons.Earlier, Hunt had made 107 from 212 deliveries after the top order had been removed by Lakshitha Rasanjana and Dilshan Madushanka. A notable element of both centuries was the relative lack of boundaries: Hunt hit just three while Peirson’s 189-ball stay only included four in what became a one-day style chase during the final session.The five-wicket victory completed a successful tour for the Australia A which saw them take the four-day series 2-0 following a share of the two one-day matches. Though currently top of the Premier League, there is no doubt that Arne Slot’s side will have to be active in upcoming transfer windows in order to keep their place among England’s and Europe’s elite.

There will also need to be change in the frontline, with Darwin Núñez continuing to underwhelm and both summer signing Federico Chiesa and Diogo Jota injury prone, leaving Slot’s side light in attack at times.
Then there is the well-publicised contract concern, with all of Mohamed Salah, Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold becoming free agents this summer as things stand and set to rob Liverpool of three of their key men should they not agree new deals.
Though there is hope that at least Van Dijk stays, nothing has been announced yet, while Trent Alexander-Arnold has already been the subject of one bid from Real Madrid this winter, with Los Blancos confident of landing him either now or in the summer.
But there is another key area that Liverpool are now looking to upgrade on, and to that end they are ready to splash the cash.

That comes as a fresh report out of Italy claims that Liverpool are now prepared to offer €40m (£33.7m) to sign fullback Patrick Dorgu amid interest from Manchester United and Napoli.
One major concern this season for the Reds has been the form of left back Andy Robertson this season, with the Scot well below his historic best and the need for a new left-back at Anfield drawn into sharp focus.

They have been strongly linked with moves for Premier League pair Milos Kerkez and Antonee Robinson, but now appear to have moved away from the duo in favour of a more explosive option in the form of Dorgu.
Dubbed an “elite team player” with “immense physicality” and a “top mentality” by Analyst DanielScouting on X, Dorgu has been used mostly as a right-winger by Lecce so far this season, but is comfortable playing at left-back too having done so for much of his career and for the national team.
He is on the radar of several Premier League clubs, with Manchester United the latest to be keeping tabs on him after interest from Tottenham in the summer.

Now though, Liverpool could beat them both to his signature. As per the report, Liverpool have “prepared a €40m investment’’ to sign the Danish international. They add that they have scouted him on four occasions so far this season and that FSG officials have “been left convinced by the 20-year-old” based on what they have seen.
Any deal at that fee would represent Lecce’s biggest ever sale, but could prove a bargain should Dorgu be able to deliver on his immense potential, with the 20-year-old able to replace Robertson for the next decade at Anfield.

Doubt over Alexander Isak's future
Prior to Saturday’s 4-1 defeat at home to Bournemouth, Alexander Isak had scored in eight Premier League matches on the spin, so it is no wonder the striker has started to attract the attention of some of Europe’s top clubs.
Arsenal are one of the English clubs vying for Isak’s signature, with Chelsea also amongst the potential suitors, but the Magpies remain in a strong negotiating position, given that the Sweden international is contracted until the summer of 2028.
That said, it may still be difficult to keep hold of the striker this summer, and Eddie Howe may also be tasked with signing a long-term replacement for fellow forward Callum Wilson, who has struggled with injuries this season.

One of the forwards Newcastle are looking at is FC Nürnberg’s Stefanos Tzimas, with Sky Sports reporter Florian Plettenberg recently revealing they are keeping a close eye on the 19-year-old.
There has now been a new update on the Magpies’ pursuit of Tzimas, with BILD stating they have a 35% chance of signing the striker in the summer (via Sport Witness).
Howe’s side are said to be very interested in signing the forward, and the €25m (£21m) asking price will not be an issue, as they will have plenty of money to spend.
Newcastle are reportedly the second favourites to sign the starlet, at least out of the English clubs, and he is very likely to be available this summer, as FC Nürnberg plan to sign him for a fee of €18m (£15m), before immediately selling him on for a profit.
Tzimas showing signs of great promise
It is fair to say FC Nürnberg manager Joti Chatzialexiou is pleased with the youngster’s development this season, saying: “He has made enormous progress in the past few weeks. We’ve had him on our radar for a long time and we’re delighted that he’s now so successful.”
The Thessaloniki-born striker has made a flying start to life in the 2. Bundesliga, picking up eight goals and two assists in his opening 14 games, so it is no wonder some of Europe’s clubs have been alerted to his availability.

That said, the PAOK loanee is still in the infancy of his career and is yet to prove himself over a sustained period of time, nor in a major league.
